This isn’t simply a Ronald Tom necklace—it’s a custom commission created through the collaboration between Navajo master silversmith Ronald Tom and Hespera Jewelry Co.
Ronald Tom handcrafted the sterling silver naja and matching turquoise drops exclusively for this project, while Hespera selected and composed the beadwork, bringing together vivid natural turquoise, Mediterranean coral heshi, oxidized Navajo pearls, and a hand-stamped sterling barrel bead into a balanced, one-of-a-kind composition.
At the heart of the necklace is Ronald’s beautifully restrained silverwork. The large seven-stone naja showcases a remarkable collection of natural turquoise, each cabochon chosen for its unique matrix and color. Surrounding it, the custom beadwork creates movement and warmth, echoing desert skies at dusk and the long tradition of Southwestern adornment through a distinctly contemporary lens.

Eric’s Note
One of my favorite things about collaborating with artists like Ronald is that neither of us could have made this piece alone. His silver carries generations of Navajo craftsmanship. My job is finding the stones and building the story around them. The result isn’t just a necklace—it’s two artistic voices meeting in the middle.
